KERDALO

Born in 1962 in Chamalières (Puy-de-Dôme).
A graduate of the School of Applied Arts in Paris (1980).
As soon as he graduated, KERDALO chose to express himself firstly through illustrations for the press, and then cartoons, publishing eight comic books of remarkable quality with Casterman editions (under the name of Parcelier).
In 1996, he decided to devote himself to painting and has had growing success thanks to his novel pictorial approach. In fact, Laurent KERDALO’s work belongs to no known movement. It is perhaps worth inventing the theme of Modern Impressionism to qualify this new pictorial approach. Gifted with a rare talent for the treatment of light, KERDALO can be considered as the heir of the great impressionists.
